Properties and performance
Rosenberg type RS duct fans combine the advantages of axial fans (axial direction of air flow) and radial fans (stable compression, low noise level, high efficiency). They are perfect for both supply and exhaust systems.
They are adapted for mounting in circular ducts. Intended for continuous operation. They can be mounted in any position.
Housing
The casing is made of polyamide PA6 reinforced with 15% glass fiber. This material is characterized by high stiffness, hardness, durability and high mechanical strength. It has a high vibration damping capacity and impact resistance.
In comparison to a steel housing, it has a number of advantages, such as lower noise levels, total corrosion resistance, and lower weight.
For easy installation in ducts, the housing has standardized connection sockets.
Rotors
High efficiency impeller wheels, with backward curved blades, up to size 250 are made of plastic, in sizes of 315 and 315M – made of galvanized sheet steel. They are mounted directly on the engine casing.
The rotor – engine assembly is balanced statically and dynamically in accordance with DIN ISO 1940 in class G 6.3.
Electrical connection
The power connection is made via a junction box located on the fan casing, made in IP44 tightness class.
The fan should be connected in correctly with the diagram in the box and in accordance with the applicable safety regulations.
Engines
The fan drive consists of motors with a rotating casing of variable voltage speed, made in IP44 tightness class.
Winding insulation meet the standards of F class and additionally is impregnated against humidity.
The used bearings are tightly closed on both sides and do not require handling.
Thermal protection of motors
The motors are protected against overheating with a bimetallic type thermocontact, embedded in series in the winding circuit.
If the temperature increases, the motor power supply circuit is interrupted and turned off. Restarting takes place automatically after the engine has cooled down.
